What interests young women who can grow up to be leaders in communities?

What interests young women who can grow up to be leaders in communities? Perfect craftswomen? Moms who will push for their children to have an even better life than they did? You just need to come, ask and discuss – like at the Stredná odborná škola in Revúca. Somewhere at the beginning of the dialogue they don’t seem to want anything. That they’re comfortable with all the stereotypes that life brings them. That they are too quick to accept the myths about the status of women. And yet, as the minutes go by, questions are added, topics are opened. You just need to talk a lot, inspire each other…

We bring a dialogue to schools about women who have changed communities. We look into history, how it was and how the girls before us did it. And we’re very curious to see if we’re going to see feedback. That something new would emerge.

These workshops for schools were implemented as part of the “Women in The Community – from charity to equal work in communities” project, which is supported by the Domestic and Gender-Based Violence Programme financed by the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014 – 2021 and the state budget of the Slovak Republic.
